Smoothie N2

Ingredients

  • 1 oz lacinato kale
  • 1 tangerine – peeled
  • 4 oz pineapple
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1 tbsp pea protein
  • 3 tbsp almonds
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup ice

Extremely high in vitamins K, A and C, with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, kale is one of the best dark leafy greens you can eat. Combine it with the additional vitamin C (and natural sweetness) of a tangerine and pineapple, as well as the healthy fat and protein of half an avocado, and you have a super green smoothie that tastes like a dream. And with only 10 grams of sugar, you’ll feel energized and satisfied without having to worry about your blood sugar.

Smoothie N3

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz collard greens
  • 2 persian cucumbers – chopped
  • 1 apple – chopped
  • 1 meyer lemon – peeled
  • 1/2 inch ginger
  • 1/2 tsp chlorella
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup ice

A cross between a mandarin orange and a lemon, meyer lemons were originally used for purely aesthetic purposes before their benefits were discovered. Sweet and not tart like regular lemons, meyer lemons have such a thin layer of white pith between their skin and fruit that they can actually be eaten skin and all. Chlorella is a type of algae that grows in fresh water, and is often used as a natural treatment for digestive issues and fibromyalgia. Ginger is a fantastic anti-inflammatory, and collard greens contain a big dose of vitamin A, C and even a little bit of protein. If traditional detox drinks prove too harsh for your stomach, this gentler version should give you all the nutritional benefits without the intense stomach side effects.

Smoothie N4

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz baby spinach
  • 1 apple – chopped
  • 2 oz celery – chopped
  • 1 mini cucumber – chopped
  • 1 lemon – juiced
  • 1/2 inch ginger – peeled, chopped
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup ice

The correct way to think of the “detox” label is something that helps your organs work at their highest capacity, not something that causes rapid weight loss or an instant flat belly (as some weight loss products would have you believe). Anti-inflammatory ginger, alkalizing lemon, hydrating celery and cucumber, and vitamin-infused baby spinach and apple, all provide ample amounts of healthy goodness in a low sugar, low calorie package.

Smoothie N5

Ingredients

  • 1 yellow squash – chopped
  • 1 orange – peeled
  • 1 oz kumquats
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 inch ginger – peeled
  • 1 tbsp hemp seed
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup ice

This brilliantly bright yellow-orange blend is packed with nutrients. Yellow squash is a great source of iron and folate. It also provides manganese, which helps maintain healthy bone structure and calcium absorption. Kumquats are an amazing flavor bomb. We like to call them nature’s Sour Patch Kids. Their skin is so thin, it doesn’t need to be peeled, just toss them right in the blender. Turmeric is a powerful superfood that contains several compounds with medicinal properties. Often used in curry flavoring, turmeric is good for brain function, and can help decrease inflammation.

Smoothie N6

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz collard greens
  • 1 mini cucumber
  • 2 oz kumquats
  • 1 apple – chopped
  • 1/2 tsp chlorella
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup ice

A powerful immune booster, chlorella is a blue-green algae that’s also full of B-12, which is essential for the health of red blood cells, the central nervous system, and energy production. Add in some nice hydration from a cucumber, fiber from an apple and kumquats, and a super healthy dose of Omega-3s from the chia seeds, and you’ve got a light, refreshing smoothie that is sure to keep you full for hours.

Smoothie N7

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz red lettuce
  • 1 pear – chopped
  • 1/2 avocado – pitted
  • 1 tsp matcha
  • 1 tbsp almond butter
  • 1 cup vanilla almond milk
  • 1 cup ice

You hear a lot about the “good fat” in avocados, but what does that mean, exactly? The main fat in avocados is oleic acid, a monounsaturated fatty acid also present in olive oil. Oleic acid is good for healthy skin and hair, helps reduce inflammation, and may have cancer-fighting properties. Paired with matcha, a powdered green tea with more antioxidants than any other superfood, this smooth and nutty green smoothie will help you be healthy inside and out!

Smoothie N8

Ingredients

  • 5 oz sweet potato – scrubbed, chopped
  • 4 oz pineapple
  • 1 orange – peeled
  • 1 tbsp flaxseed
  • 1/2 tsp camu camu powder
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup ice

Full of potassium, iron, and B6, sweet potatoes contain a super healthy dose of vitamin C, which is essential for collagen production (a structural protein that gives skin its youthful elasticity). Camu camu, which has the highest amount of vitamin C per serving out of any other food, provides even more collagen-boosting effects, along with a brightening orange and some pineapple. Add some flaxseed to this skinalicious smoothie for fiber and Omega-3s, and you have a drink that will keep you glowing — and going — through even the busiest of days.

Smoothie N9

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz baby spinach
  • 1 mini cucumber
  • 1 pear – chopped
  • 1 lime – juiced
  • 1 bunch mint
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup ice

While citrus fruits like limes are known for their high amount of vitamin C per serving, cucumbers are also rich in vitamin C, as well as anti-inflammatory compounds and fiber. The healthy fiber continues with pear, which is also high in antioxidants. When these light ingredients are combined with stomach-soothing mint, and ample vitamins and minerals from spinach (folate, calcium, iron and vitamin K to name a few), they create a low calorie smoothie that provides a gentle detox for both your digestion and complexion.

Nutrition Facts: Approximately 67 calories, 0g fat, 18g carbs, 4g fiber, 8g sugar, 1g protein per 12-ounce serving. Yields 2 servings

Smoothie N10

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz collard greens

  • 1 apple – chopped
  • 3 tbsp – oats
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup ice

With more grams of fiber than grams of sugar, this smoothie is the perfect breakfast for a busy day! Both apple and banana are fiber dense fruits (that also provide a variety of vitamins and minerals like potassium, magnesium, vitamin C, and antioxidants), and oats have been shown to help curb bad cholesterol and ease blood sugar spikes. Add in some collard greens (calcium and iron) and cinnamon (an anti-inflammatory powerhouse), and you skin will be just as happy as your stomach!

  • 3 sprigs mint
  • 2 tbsp raw hazelnuts

All nuts have high vitamin E and oleic acid content, and hazelnuts are no exception. Both help keep skin supple and moist. Celery has a very high water content so it’s a great way to hydrate.
